Postpartum Services
What does a postpartum doula do?
Postpartum needs vary from family to family. Depending on your needs (which can change day-to-day!), I offer the following:
Prenatal postpartum planning (if applicable)
“Parent the parent” so you can rest, heal, and focus on you and baby
Provide baby care so you can sleep, shower/bathe, eat, etc.
Snack preparation for lactation and a nourishing postpartum
Light cleaning, such as kitchen cleaning/dishes and picking up around the house
Baby laundry
Prepare sitz baths and provide healing support
Basic lactation and feeding support
Birth story validation and non-judgmental emotional support
Return to work preparation and guidance
Phone, text, and email support
Resources and references to postpartum/infant/parenting support professionals
How much does it cost?
My postpartum doula services are $30 per hour, and I require a 16-hour minimum. Postpartum shifts range from two to six hours, and you are always welcome to book more hours with me.
